This is a series of drawings that I have been making with the intention of posting their images onto instagram. I call them ghosts, but also refer to them as the Hauntology series. Hauntology is a term coined by Derrida and elaborated on by Mark Fisher. It refers to the tangible (non) presence of things that are dislocated in time. The ever presence of social media and the out-of-time-ness which that brings, along with the unwillingness of the dreams of modern utopian ideals to disappear. These ghosts are drawings illustrating that paradox of despair mixed with the stubborn unwillingness to give up.
