In 2008, I was invited to make a work as part of The Queens Museum's community driven arts initiative Corona Plaza, Center of Everywhere. For this work, I created a mascot named "La Coronita", a cute little crown headed girl. I then surveyed citizens about their favorite locations in the neighborhood and asked them to tell me why. I illustrated these anectodes, starring La Coronita animated onto footage taken from these locations. I also installed cut-out figures of La Coronita at these same places.
