Accretions

I call these works "Accretions" because of the organic way in which they are drawn. I impose very little conscious design onto these drawings, allowing the imagery to simply flow from my hand onto the paper. The compositions are organic and fluid. For the last few years, I have primarily been drawing these works on rolls of paper, a form that allows me to see only a few inches of the drawing at a time. I think of them as a kind of exquisite corpse drawn with myself. .
