In the summer of 2008 I did this project as part of the Queens Museum's Corona Plaza, Center of Everywhere. For it, I created a mascot for the neighborhood who was a little, crown-headed girl named La Coronita. I then had a random assortment of neighborhood folks give me their favorite locations around the neighborhood, and specific memories of those locations, or just what they liked about it. I then created a series of site-specific installations of La Coronita engaged in activities inspired by my survey results. I also made a series of animations based on this info.
